When Falcon Heavy lifted off, it became the most powerful operational rocket in the world by a factor of two. With the ability to lift into orbit nearly 64 metric tons (141,000 lb)---a mass greater than a 737 jetliner loaded with passengers, crew, luggage and fuel--Falcon Heavy can lift more than twice the payload of the next closest operational vehicle, the Delta IV Heavy, at one-third the cost.

Following liftoff, the two side boosters separated from the center core and returned to landing site for future reuse.

Falcon Heavy put a Tesla Roadster and its passenger, Starman, into orbit around the sun. At max velocity Starman and the Roadster will travel 11 km/s (7mi/s) and travel 400 million km (250 million mi) from Earth.

I'm no rocket scientist, but I see the exhaust from western rockets is firery and smokey whereas Russian and Chinese rockets are clean. This is because the Russians have higher burning temperatures (3500C) and the tech to do it. I see the Chinese have the same tech too, probably by buying the Russian stuff. And the North Koreans funnily enough too (Chinese tech assistance for the idiots). With a generation of both male and female valley girls being pumped out all over the Western hemisphere from our education systems the West has suffered a tech knowhow meltdown and still use Oxygen and kerosene fuels at lower temperatures and less power to weight coefficients. GOOD LUCK VALLEY GIRLS ON YOUR NEXT MISSION.

There’s too much space junk in space, don’t be surprised if the car falls back to earth with lots of paint scratches

SpaceX: thank you for rebuilding the dream, and congratulations on your progress. Bless you all for all your hard work! Nature is watching, and she approves. Life needs off this rock and into the greater cosmos where it belongs :)

Funny how the Flat Earthers are in panic over this. I mean this is obviously a technological milestone, but as far as physics are concerned, nothing new, and yet, it's unsettling to them. Are the images and the whole experience getting too real?

Just wondering, what is the song in the video called?

Makes my spine chill everytime i see the boosters land :-) We all learn by mistakes thats what makes us human. REMEMBER we were CAVEMEN and CAVEWOMEN.
