The year is 15 CE, and the Roman Empire is prospering. Most of the credit will go to the emperor, but this success wouldn’t have been possible without loyal soldiers like Servius Felix. Robert Garland illuminates what life was like for a solider in the Roman army.
Lesson by Robert Garland, animation by Brett Underhill.

This video seems very ideological to me. Yes, war is bad, we get it. It didn't actually contain much info on a Roman soldier's typical daily routine.

C.E. Because swords and shields are part of the common era. Like the Roman Empire... Wait well... The Roman empire was before common Era. Which was funny enough before Christ was around. And... it wouldn't be a while until 'common' things were around... But what can be considered 'common'? Why not just call it BC and AD? Been doing it for hundreds of years.

He's going to marry his childhood sweetheart once the wars done? There's no way he's going to make it out alive.
