Building our tiny house on wheels together with the team from Tiny House Chattanooga in Tennessee was an amazing experience. To find out more information, including the cost and details on the products we used visit our website: http://www.livingbiginatinyhouse.com/our-tiny-house-build/

We were rushing to get the home complete so we could be on the road for some tiny house festivals around America and so the entire build was done from start to finish in only 21 days!

Tiny House Chattanooga (http://www.tinyhousechattanooga.com) were amazing. Not only did the team pull together to get the home finished to an amazingly high standard, they also allowed me to get stuck into the build with them and I was able to learn an incredible amount about tiny house building in the process.

The home was constructed on a trailer from Tiny House Foundations (http://www.tinyhousefoundations.com). We follow the whole build process of this tiny house, from preparing the tiny house trailer and erecting the Volstrukt steel frame (http://www.volstrukt.com/) right the way through the completed home.

Amazing project, no more extra lumber, this tiny home looks safer, cleaner and lighter, great design and one question, how much?

I always dreaming for a tiny house, problem is most design I see here are using dry toilet, I really wish you can show an alternative with water closet (as an Asian, I can't really get used to dry toilet). I plan on making it a permanent home so plumbing works should be okay

Wow. This was just amazing throughout the video. It's awesome you got to do some of it yourself WHILE having experts there to help you. It's something I'm always trying to explain to my dad. Dad: "If they can do it, I can do it." Me: "You're right. Better get started on those YEARS OF EXPERIENCE then" lol. This is an amazing home man. I honestly want to have these same guys build this exact same structure for myself. I do have some questions though: 1. What's the "house lung" device? You said it lets the house breathe but wouldn't just opening a window do the same thing? I mean a house doesn't have a "house lung". 2. Why not put in a solar panel when you already set up the wiring? Just not needed for the most part since it's built to mostly be on city power? 3. Aren't there all-in-one heating/cooling units? Why go with one that has separate pieces, also overboard in power considering the size of the building? 4. How do you wash clothes? Laundry mat? 5. At 50k for the build, wouldn't buying a pull along trailer been just as effective/efficient? 6. Where/what are the outlets!? lol 7. Plenty of more questions but you haven't got all day lol Thank you again for this amazing video! \o/

if you live in it and it has wheels THEN it's a trailer, homes have foundations.

wait im confused, at 9:56 did that guy just screw right into an airtight membrane you just spent a whole night making airtight? I'm confused, I thought the sticker on that guy said no drilling. Unless screwing doesn't count as drilling, in which case does a screw not compromise the airtightness? Is there no alternative to pine panelling that I could use so that I don't have to break the airtight membrane with screws?

WATCH MIKE IN THE AWESOME TINY HOME DOCUMENTARY THAT REVEQLS THE MOVEMENTS EFFORTS WITH MUBICIPALITIES TO LEGALIZE THESE SHELTERS. AS HOUSES...THEY HAVE HEALTH AND SAFETY ALREADY...JUST LESS DEPTHS AND MEASUREMENTS FOR SPACES THAT NEED TO BE PLACED IN STANDARDIZED INTERNATIONAL CODES REGULATIONS THAT ALL THESE COUBTIES AND CITIES HAVE ADOPTED NOW!

  • Nisa Carla Smith - 1 month ago

MIKE IS A PRETTY GREAT BUILDER.

  • Nisa Carla Smith - 1 month ago

THE LUNOS AIR TRANSFER SYSTEM USED IS ABOUT $800

  • Nisa Carla Smith - 1 month ago

IN SMALL SPACES VENTILATION IS FRITICAL...ESPECIALLY IF ITS BUILT TIGHT. YOU GOTTA TRADE AIR OUT LIKE IN ANY BUILD BUT SO MUCH AIR GETS USED UP FASTER IN SMALL SPACES.

  • Nisa Carla Smith - 1 month ago

THERE ALSO ARE NO OFFGASSING TO THIS INSULATION...AND HOUSE WRAPS...THATS GREAT! THX FOR INCLUDING CASEMENT WINDOW VENDOR OPTIONS.

  • Nisa Carla Smith - 1 month ago

THE LAST VID LEFT OUT SHEATHING CHOICES. THX FOR INCLUDING THAT HERE AND THE VISUAL OF INSTALLING ELECTRICAL.

  • Nisa Carla Smith - 1 month ago

THE HEALTHY HOME PKG STARTS AT $3100 FOR A 20FT TRAILER... AND THE TRAILER ABOUT THE SAME RANGE. OF COURSE METAL IS LESS WEIGHT STRONGER THAN WOOD. BUT YOU CANT SLOWLY SOURCE A METAL FRAME LIKE DIY ELFERS CAN WITH WOOD FRAMING.
