For this young family, life in a tiny house is largely centred around a desire to live with a lighter footprint and do something good for the environment.

Going zero waste and cutting out single use plastics has been helped by living in a tiny house, where the small home makes the family more aware of their consumption. Mark, a Vegan chef has also leveraged debt free living in a tiny house to start his own plant based pop-up restaurant.

As soon as he said they were living on his parents' property I bailed. This is an all too common occurrence regarding tiny house owners......they mooch off of others so they shelter themselves from the actual costs of living. By doing so is just several steps removed from living in mom's basement. While I DO support the tiny house movement I also believe in being self-sufficient the entire way. If the Zoning Commission came along and said they had to move their place, then what?

This is gorgeous. Wouldn't necessarily say it was 'tiny' though.

What a lovely family and beautiful home. We also try to live with minimal waste, but as a mother of two toddlers I couldn't help but think: how are they going to baby proof all those glass jars (not to mention many other things within easy reach)?! Starting around 6 months that baby is going to start getting into everything, and they continue getting into everything for *years* to come. I would love an update to hear about the challenges (and successes) of living with a mobile baby/toddler in a tiny house.

Love the tiny house movement and van-living, and all of these videos. It seems the most successful builds and life-styles are possible thanks to outside support systems, such as family members. Certainly, access to free land helps. I'm curious how those that are more independent are managing to build and transition into this life-style. Luckily, Living Big in A Tiny House has a lot more videos to watch!

Beautiful Tiny house, for those who is living in tiny house, how did they deal with the land lord ? Or it's definitely their own land and free to build and put their tiny house in the land ? Please advise! Thanks.

I do wish his wife spoke more....he doesn't talk over her exactly, but we are really missing out on her point of view through him being so dominant.

Their tune is going to change once their child is old enough to walk around. Those glass jars will have to be put higher, and something else in their place, for example. No way will those stairs work for a tiny child. But it is a nice tiny home. I love the gardens.
