How ‘A Quiet Place’ Kept Quiet | Anatomy of a Scene
Published on Apr 13, 2018
In the horror movie “A Quiet Place,” John Krasinski and Emily Blunt play a couple trying to protect their family from a threat that attacks when noise is made. Here, Mr. Krasinski, who also directed, talks about an early scene and how he and his team worked to create sound from different characters’ perspectives, including from that of the couple’s deaf daughter Regan, played by the deaf actress Millicent Simmonds.

This movie was way better than I expected it to be. The ending was a bit cliche but it was very well executed and the acting was spot on.

Wasn't expecting much about this film, but man this film is superb and my heart really hurts when he said to his daughter that he always love her. Then, he's gone :(

I am going to say it...that kid had it coming.... That kid had it coming... Daddy said no in the nicest way possible....he even told you the reason.... If you wanted to risk dying for a toy...you got it... Now if you wanna defend the kid...remember he was tip toe running around the shop earlier...so he has some understanding that he needs to be quiet.... So kid....sorry but not sorry....

But how can you leave a baby behind of yours with a toy in a abandoned place like this plus even if you aware of that...!Make no sense to me

My problem isn’t with the kid having a toy that makes noises, as I’m guessing there’s an explanation for that. However... he’s a small child. The youngest in the group from the looks of it. So why was he put at the rear of the group? Yeah yeah, it was needed for the story and for the movie’s plot to end up where it needed to go, but I feel like there must have been some other way to do it. Because we’re shown that they are really attentive parents, and... well, you wouldn’t let your kid walk at the end of the group. One parent leading and one at the end, no?
